Iowa man accused of shooting horses in pasture | Crime

A Cedar Rapids man reportedly told police he knew it was “stupid” when he allegedly fired a rifle at horses in a pasture.
Ryan Grafft, 31, is accused of shooting at the horses from inside his truck as he passed by the pasture Sunday afternoon, January 27, 2013.
KCRG reports Grafft said he didn’t know why he shot at the animals.
Johnson County Sheriff Lonny Pulkrabek said Grafft fired about 20 shots into the pasture. One horse was killed and two more were wounded.
Grafft was charged with shooting a rifle over the highway, reckless use of a firearm, second-degree criminal mischief and injury to animals. He was held in the Johnson County Jail in lieu of $17,500 total bond.
